Govrn Experts — Cohort I

About Us

Govrn is an open platform and protocol empowering DAO contributors to track and record contributions. With Govrn, you are creating a bottom-up culture of governance. By reporting contributions, you are helping your DAO(s) crowdsource a framework for defining contribution types, assigning value to contributions, and developing meaningful taxonomies for the entire ecosystem.In other words, by using Govrn, you empower your DAOs to be defined by the actual work you do and the value you create.

Intention

We noticed the best adoption and practices learned were through personal 1-1 onboarding sessions. Members have also expressed wanting to meet other contributors using Govrn to learning from one another.

Expectation & Outcomes

• By the end of this training cohort, you will become a Govrn expert and learn best practices. Towards the end, you’ll be ready to onboard the rest of your Guild/Working Group/Pod or team to Govrn.
• As part of the program, you’ll learn:

  • Impacts of contributions
  • How to report & mint contributions
  • How to give attestations
  • How to add various DAOs
  • How to read DAO Dashboards
  • How to leverage Govrn for onboarding
  • How to navigate through our Web App
  • How to use our friendly bot - Kevin Malone
  • Govrn’s utilities
• Other perks include:
  • Access to a private channel in our Discord exclusive to Govrn Experts from all cohorts
  • Safe space to meet other active DAO contributors from various DAOs and learn best practices + make new friends
  • Priority in feature requests
  • Option to be a part of the value assignment tests (working with researchers)
  • Early access to new releases and testing opportunities

Requirements

We strongly recommend you apply if:

• Your DAO has onboarded to Govrn
• You are a Guild Lead
• You’re part of several DAOs and feel there is a strong use case for Govrn adoption in one or several of your DAOs
• You are passionate about building & owning your reputation via contributions
• You commit to attending 4 of the 5 sessions

Agenda

The program runs for 2 weeks but there will be permanent access to all resources and members in our Govrn Experts channel. New resources will always be shared and cohort members are always encouraged to share and meet all past and future cohort members. We’re looking to start the next cohort beginning of January 2023.
